Humble beginnings at a flower shop in D.C. taught me how posies get poked ‘back in the Old Country’. Flower facts and temperaments snuck into my subconscious and had to be reckoned with once I returned to Austin, TX. I embraced the madness and Rosehip Flora was founded in 2002. I have proudly contributed to hundreds of magical moments ever since.
I love working with my hands. Whether I am making a bouquet, drawing, or printing; there is nothing like the satisfaction of crafting something by hand. Flowers offer an endless amount of inspiration and material to create. Each bloom is new, different, and completely unique. The happy accidents within the process offer the most gratification. When I am not working on flowers with Rosehip, you can find me designing and printing at Studio SloMo.
In college, I couldn’t decide on a concentration within my Art major. I loved everything- drawing, printmaking, sculpture, you name it. I decided to make my own concentration in composition and have been happily arranging anything within reach ever since. Flowers are a new medium for me and I enjoy learning about their personalities, capabilities, and especially helping Erin and Sarah make the design concept come to life. When I am not helping Erin and Sarah, I enjoy designing and drawing for HMF + DESIGN.
